What is the career outlook for Purdue?

I'm currently a student at a total non-target school and I'm looking to transfer to a target or semi-target. I'm interested in IB but also AM, PE, and RE. I'm applying to plenty of schools but Purdue is going to be in-state (basically 1/2 to 1/3 cost) and I'm also a pretty safe bet to get in. It would serve as a backup in the event that I don't get into any targets.

I understand that Purdue is not generally considered a target but how bad can it be? I took a look at its 2019 employment report and they mention BoA and JP as "Top Hiring Companies." It's also located fairly close to Chicago (it's actually the same distance as UIUC) and is very quantitative focused in their teaching. It's even decently prestigious (top 50~) These all seem like characteristics of a semi target or target yet no one seems to consider it one.

Would I have any shot at landing an IB job if I made good grades at Purdue? Do you know any Purdue alum? Do any BB's or Boutiques recruit on campus? Is there any reason why Purdue isn't as highly regarded as a school like Wisc or UIUC in finance?
