you'll get into something absolutely no problem, but ask yourself

how expensive to give up? what programs are your bare minimums? what you want out of the MBA stamping experience?

Not worried about the financial burden here. The issue I am struggling with is not "why do I need it, I've already gotten this far..." It's "if i've done this so far, I only wonder what I could do WITH an MBA..."

Top 7 or I am not interested

I think I would actually learn from the practical nature of the classes and working in groups with folks from different backgrounds. A lot of the stuff i've done in MM IBD is trial-and-error, and my employers have all valued that I've worked at several different places and can provide a different perspective.

I guess to rephrase my questions, chances at top 7 with 680 vs. say, 710?

academics are viewed with GPA and GMAT together. you aren't going to look too good in this dimension (3.4 & sub 700). Your reluctance on extracurricular is a knock again. IB would be a plus overall but it's a long past.

"To learn perspectives" is a great goal if it gets more refinement towards some post-MBA career direction, IMHO. You don't seem to have an idea of what M7 averages, or else you probably won't ask how different 680 vs 710 can be.

So are you planning on returning to your current job? Maybe I'm missing something...just do an emba if you feel the need

All the MBA admissions consulting firms offer a free 30 minutes which will likely be more insightful. From what I see it will be difficult for you to get into an M7 especially with a 680.

You're not particularly competitive for a top 7 program. My recommendation would be to either retake your GMAT (710+) or to expand your options beyond M7. Consider Columbia, for example (though honestly, even Columbia is a reach for you).
