Which MSF program?
I realize my posts are borderline spam at this point in the BSchool forum because I keep asking about different schools but my situation keeps changing and I literally have 72 hours to move on these programs with regards to application submission:
University of Syracuse
Boston College
University of Rochester
American University
Again, I am sorry but I'd love to hear from someone who attended any of these. or which one's REAL placement record is somewhat hopeful. IB at a BB is out of the question, even though I would love that. The problem is BC,Rochester and Syracuse have ridicolous costs involved while American is manageable, located in D.C. and speaking with their department head looks like places some people in IB...mostly IMF and such though which being an economics major would be something that goes along with my education. I promise, this will be the last of these posts but I know there are some members here that have been in this situation before and I would love to hear from anyone about these schools.
Programt Costs per credit Total
Rochester $1,434 $81,000
Syracuse $1,162 $53,183
Boston C. $1,220 $59,510
American $1,111 $14,536 (Tuition only/12-17 credits)
GWU $1,250 $60,000 (Tuition alone+40k)
None of the schools listed above will give you a definite path into IB but if you network hard, you still have a shot.
With that said, BC has probably the best recruiting out of the ones listed and the best name recognition.
Good luck with your decision!
Dude, I went to Syracuse. Do not go there for your MSF. You're going to take MBA classes and it isn't going to be worth it. Syracuse does have a solid network, but I think there are better choices.
BC is a good choice. Program is developed, lot of places to intern and work in Boston. I really like what they have going there. BC without a doubt, no question.
