Why a Master's Degree Won't lead to IB/FO?
For someone who is applying for master programs... some career placement reports say that they have a lot of people getting into IB/FO, but meanwhile people say that FO usually (or only) hires undergrads and MBAs.
How is that not a contradiction ?
A lot of people aren't even aware that you can get a master's in finance (or what these programs are really meant for), and there are just lots of people who got into finance from undergrad or MBA relatively speaking
Regarding career placement reports: did you really expect them to say otherwise in what's essentially an advertisement for their program?
Not everyone from an MBA gets a job. Not everyone from UG gets a job. Masters is a tool. It's how you use it.
