Will Withdrawing From a Finance Class Hurt My Chances in getting into a Top MSF?

Currently a senior at a non-target with a 3.6 GPA and 710 GMAT score looking to get accepted into a MSF program from either Vanderbilt/UT-Austin/Georgetown/USC/Villanova to break into IB.

I am currently taking advanced corporate finance at my current institution and recently found out I didn’t do well on my midterm and that the highest grade I could get for the class is a C since there is no final. I’m not trying to use this as an excuse, but it’s been tough trying to be on top of school since I am currently interning full-time at a boutique IB. I am thinking that withdrawing from the course would be the ideal thing to do since getting a C for it would kill my GPA, but yet, at the same time, how would I back up the W on my transcript? Prior to attending my current school I attended community college for 2 and half years and had to withdraw from all my classes my second semester due to financial reasons. How can I bounce back from this and get accepted into a top MSF?

Looking forward to everyone’s advice/comments. Thank you!
