Would Brady be accepted into the Section X at HBS?

Me thinks not. He would probably be never invited to their events.

Edit: None of us worker bees would ever be accepted.

True, especially considering that out of these 90%, 75% just make stuff up, while 25% rely on hearsay.

The problem isn't necessarily with "Section X". The problem is with the spiritual deadness of those who are overcome with envy and bitterness. Here you have a group of the most blessed people on planet Earth--students at the most elite business school in the world who have the world at their fingertips, whose futures are limited by nothing except their own work ethic--and yet they are bitter that there is a group of people who are wealthier and who have more lavish fun than they can afford. Is it fair that most of those people are rich because of their parents? Of course not! Is it right of them to exclude others and to flash their unearned fortunes? Certainly not! But should these "middle class" students be so ungrateful for their enormous blessings that they lose themselves in envy and bitterness toward others?

It's spiritual deadness that causes the most talented and blessed people on Earth to drown in a sea of jealousy toward those with even greater material blessings. I've been there. I know what it's like to be upper middle class but to envy those with even more. That's a character flaw rooted in our innate human wickedness. And it's distressing to me that HBS students are making themselves into victims rather than thanking God almighty for their blessings.

...he would for sure try hard. FOMO and sh*t

One first-year at section X (rich kid from asia) threw a yacht party on labor day weekend and drives a ferrari. He's planning a bunch of weekend trips on his private jet with his closest group of friends at school. Rumor is that a lot of the single girls at HBS have a "target" list of guys that they want to snag, and he is very high on that list (along with other rich internationals and super successful finance types).

Highly doubt any white woman has an asian high on any list... maybe speed dial for health care services

I am Asian and even I find that funny!

It's true everywhere. Not quite sure why you find it so unbelievable that a very wealthy Asian man can do well with women of various races.

Let's stay focus..... Not talking everywhere..... Talking one Asian at HBS who the women pegged as someone to bang. I am from Houston and even Yao Ming could not get a blow job from the dirtiest little things in town. He is the biggest Asian export but the future leaders of the world from the most "elite" school are just waiting for said first year

Possible but highly doubtful

I'm not sure why people were so butthurt over Monty's comment. What he said was completely true.

I agree that in general, white women don't prefer Asian guys, and I'm guessing the majority of them would not date an Asian guy. White women are probably the least open to interracial, and empirical studies have shown this.

Having said that, to assert that an extremely wealthy Asian guy who is decent looking and attends HBS, would have no shot with white women just because he's Asian, is pretty laughable at face value.

AGAIN - lets stay focus... we are not talking about him having a shot.. we are talking about the list that said white women have that has him "very high on the list" .. I will sell that for SIZE all day.

The target list is an informal list of guys that these women are interested in snagging up for marriage, not for a one-night romp in the sack. These women want to marry successful wealthy men since they know that after b-school, their shelf life is going to expire rapidly, and they will never be surrounded by so many eligible men in one setting. Again, I'm just repeating what my friends told me, and I don't think it's far fetched or ridiculous at all.

this is total bullshit. The women you are talking about were ACCEPTED on their own merit... so they done some shit in their life. Now don’t fall off your high horse but think about this.. MAYBE they are just as impressive or MORE impressive than these successful men you drool over. Lets think for a second that one of these ladies gets a job at an investment bank, hedge fund, private equity etc etc.. Would she no longer be surrounded by successful men daily? Assuming that not everyone man is on the market but the same is true in business school

"Yao Ming could not get a blow job from the dirtiest little things in town." And you know this, how? Do you follow Yao Ming around in Houston to check up on how he does with women? Out of all the ridiculous stuff I've read on WSO, this has to be up there. I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or being serious.

How are you enjoying Wharton and what did you do this summer? Where did you work? Returning post school?

Personally, I look forward to decades of happiness with the woman I love who wanted to marry me because of my family's money. Her looks will never fade and even if they do I'll be left with a woman of high character. *Sarcasm*

Like BlackHat said, I can already tell I'll like you.
I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

Yeah I know some HBS folks as well. One of my undergrad classmates goes there, and he was saying he has a hallmate whose dad owns a small island off the coast of Costa Rica, and they all go there once a week after class by private jet. Apparently his dad is also setting up a kind of biological preserve down there...and it's supposedly really spectacular.
