Yale vs Harvard

Hi.

I read posts on the forum and none talked deeply of which is better for a career in business and finance: Harvard or Yale?

I want to be the attend the best school for that, which also offers:

  • The best overall college experience
  • Being able to network with the future "movers and shakers" and the sons and daughters of influential people.
  • Guest Speakers, tickets to exclusive events, clubs and organizations where I can develop
  • Secret Societes (Like the Porcellian Club and Skull & Bones)
  • Strongest Alumni network in the world
  • Best club in NY and beyond

I ask this now as want to be prepared beforehand for when the time comes.

Harvard beats Yale 5 days out of 7... Especially for Business/Finance. If you look at the CEOs of Top Investment Banks, Asset Management, and etc, most of them are from Harvard (Dimon, Blankfein, Schwarzman, Dalio, Ackman and so on...).

Also, Yale kids are often busy with PC agendas and moaning about one thing or another. Not a fun crowd if you ask me.

Microagression detected.

I heard they're the minority, plus they're always cool with me irrespective of their 50+ shades.

Thing is that only Blankfein + sons & Ackman did a BA at Harvard and Schwarzman did it at Yale. Both did their BA's in History. The rest just went to Harvard's Grad school.

Either way, Grad School or not, Harvard's alumni network, guest speaker, and etc is better. Also, I do know that both schools have a great club in New York.

Frankly, I don't think it particularly matters one way or the other. Providing you can keep up your alleged levels of high attainment, both will provide decent stepping stones to FT roles at reputable firms in whatever financial field you eventually settle on.

Harvard for undergrad and business school. Yale for law school

Few players recall big pots they have won, strange as it seems, but every player can remember with remarkable accuracy the outstanding tough beats of his career.
