Life stories

Hi everyone. I'm a freshman in college that goes to a non-target that plans on taking the IB path into PE. I realized how little I know about the financial field and I just wanted to hear people's stories about how they got into finance/ recruiting experiences/ or how they switched to buy-side or sell-side. I just wanted to hear about the different paths you may have taken.
