Best sell side equity derivatives desks?
Just curious how the banks rank in terms of equity derivatives flow. Read somewhere that SocGen actually dominates the space - what about amongst the American banks? And where would be an ideal place to start ?
Focus on getting in and then make a post about which offer you should choose in the unlikely event you receive multiple offers.
I have one FT, was wondering whether it's worth my time to interview for another.
It's always worth your time to see what doors are open. Are you perfectly happy with the comp, people and group you will be working at FT offer? If so then I guess it might not be worth your time.
I really like them but I just don't know how well they truly stack up. In any case I'm most likely not going to bother interviewing but just wanted to get a sense of the industry landscape from someone with personal experience
SocGen as no. 1 in equity derivs? Where did you read that lol
It's the first result on google for equity derivatives rankings. FWIW it's not where my offer is, just wondering how accurate the list/report is or whether to even put stock into such rankings that are probably volatile YoY.
Also just because SocGen "dominates" the space doesnt mean you will make tons of do' there. French banks love to keep multi year long interns as juniors and pay them close to nothing.
Maximize personal wealth not the banks market share.
I don't know much about SocGen but a guy I knew working there hated it. Never seen him happier to leave
