Their Aladdin algorithmic trading desk is pretty tight. They're also the largest asset management firm (upwards of $4 trillion market cap) after its purchase of iShares from Barclays Cap. Don't know what you want to know.

i have a superday with this group next week, don't know if it's worth going to. is it just risk management?
Going to a BlackRock superday this Friday in Princeton for their portfolio management group. Don't know what your other options are, but I wouldn't pass off the oppertunity. BlackRock is one of the best investment management firms in the industry, and I'm sure you could branch into other areas than just the quant. analysis group.
Anyone have any additional info interning at BlackRock, particularly in their portfolio management group, would greatly appreciate it!
