Depends a bit bank to bank. This is based on ranges I've seen within the past 2-3 years. If anyone else has info I would also be curious.

1st year analyst base salary generally 80-85k. (TD starts you off as an assoc making 100k). 4mth stub year 5-10k bonus. First full year 30-50k bonus. Second full year 40-80k bonus.

Assoc pay is generally around 100k base. First full year bonus generally around 50-120k.

It starts to get pretty divergent further out once you really start to independently produce. Follows the general rule that the bigger the bank/desk pnl/individual contribution, the better your comp. Don't expect the high end of the numbers above unless you are at a top bank, the desk is doing well, and/or you're a superstar.

Not that easy imo.

There is some third party info (ie greenwich) will will provide rankings. Making a few posts here can also help.

A lot of your career is team dependent, and getting on a good team involves a decent amount of chance knowing the right people. Know which desk is good is 20% of the challenge.
