Career Options + Exit Opportunities for Sales in S & T

First time poster, just curious if anyone has any stories or known of some of the career paths for sales particularly among different desks/products, and whether exit opportunities exist ( I know its much more likely to stay in S & T vs. IB once youre in and that for salesman less opportunities exist than for traders). Only seen articles etc. about traders thus far and their options but not much on salesman. Thanks!
