Certifications for Execution Trading
Hey all,
I'm thinking about doing execution trading for a career, and I was wondering what tests I would have to pass in order to be able to do that job? I'm assuming the series 7, but not sure if there are any others that I would have to take.

I mean don't get me wrong, funds may need a manual overlay but what you should focus on is more execution algorithms. Good book is called optimal trading strategies which is kind of out dated but it's decent

Interesting. I work for a quant asset manager, and they have execution traders. So what you're saying is that those traders will eventually move to another role in the firm, or just be replaced by algorithms and be out of a job?
