Equity Options Trading vs Rates Options Trading
Hi guys, I have just been offered 2 jobs and am kinda confused about which to go for. Both roles are for mid-tier prop firms. On one hand, the equity options trading firm will mainly be focused on algo trading in single stock and index equities options, although the firm is not that quanty (which is great). On the other hand, the rates options firm will mainly be focused on the more illiquid rates options products, such as Euribor, Sterling etc, and mainly trades with brokers and other institutions through Bloomberg, phone (no algo involved).
It would be great if anyone has opinions on how you would go about looking at these 2 roles - job potential, risks, exit opportunities, etc. I will be extremely grateful as this will be my first job!
Hi Prospect in PropTrad, just trying to help:
