Graduate Scheme Energy Trading Europe

Hi,
first post here, ima keep it very brief. I would be grateful for your answers.

Im about to graduate with a business degree and am currently evaluating my options. Did internships in M&A but found it quite boring. Hence I want to try trading (ADHD high level btw. lol just thought might explain why watching the paint dry sucks).

Anyways I don't know how many people are actually commodity traders here. Moreover how many in Europe?

I found this program of E.ON which is similar to the ones of Shell, BP, RWE etc.

what do you think? would I be able to make the switch to a Bank maybe at some point? all in all good entry position? I think learning the fundamentals at a utility might be a good idea.

its 18 months. You rotate from back to front etc.
Somebody made experience with this program or a similar of some other utility company and can share some experience?

thanks

Could you make it to a bank? Of course you could... easily. Why would you want to? Banks suck.

A structured program from E.ON/RWE/GDF Suez/Endesa/Enel/etc. will be the best preparation to enter energy trading. The European Energy Exchange (EEX) is well developed in power, nat. gas and emissions... its a one of the more efficient energy markets globally. If you are specifically interested in E.ON's program I'd expect that it may be beneficial to speak German and have a relatively technical background (engineering would likely be preferred to finance). If you want more info feel free to PM
