How to approach Morgan Stanley’s SJT?

Hello, I have just done my assessment tests for Morgan Stanley S&T internship.

This is the feedback I received for the situational judgement test:”

  • Your responses suggest that you demonstrate a desire to learn and that you are motivated to seek out opportunities to grow and develop.
  • Your responses on the assessment suggest you are motivated to follow rules and deliver on commitments.
  • Across the scenarios, you were less likely than others to respond in a manner that is most effective when working under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Across the scenarios you were more likely to choose responses that were less collaborative in nature. You may benefit from harnessing the benefits that teamwork can bring.”

Does someone know how was I supposed to deal with this test? I tried to prioritize important work, take on extra work if necessary, avoid asking the director for each little detail and so on… Definitely don’t understand how they came up with the “less collaborative” part lol

Which specific role (location, field, etc)? Most of MS NYC internships are closed, just curious.

In my experience most of those tests are fairly accurate. S&T calls for fast paced decision making and ability to take risk and make connections. Thats why they highlight those areas. I suggest you don't try to "beat" the test and instead, answer honestly. You may find S&T isn't suited for you and there are other roles that may be better suited. Or not, you never know.
