HSBC Markets Hirevue
Just received an invitation for HSBC markets hirevue, anyone has experience with this? Is it mostly behavioral or some technical as well?
Thanks

Not really a typical hirevue, structured to be 50% basic quantitative skills and 50% your run of the mill hirevue (what would you do if youre staffed on too many projects sort of thing). You go back and forth between analyzing pitch books for very basic info and filling out surveys that mimic the hirevues offered by Citi and the rest of the BBs.
It does not sound like a Hirevue...How long do we have to prepare for the stock pitch? Thank you!
Actually I thought you are referring the online assessment test for NY office.
I never mentioned a stock pitch, i stated a pitch book analysis. I was referring to the NY assessment test (I believe I am correctly describing the process, but candidly I have done too many of these things to keep track properly). Was your experience different?
mine is for the hk office. I was talking about the job simulator test after the online assessment.
I keep having technical difficulties with the HSBC platform. Anyone else?
Make sure you have pop-ups enabled.
Yea me too, does it say the page requested cannot be displayed?
Were you able to do it?
Yes, just double check that all add blockers dont run on that page
Anyone completed the job simulator yet? How did you feel about it and its structure?
I completed the job simulator last night.
Anyone hear back for an interview? They have emailed me like 10 times letting me know that my application is still in review.
Hi, I hope you did well! What kind of questions did they ask please? Were there any strengths based questions? Thanks!
It is 99% fit, how to handle a busy workload sort of deal, you should be fine. The more "technical" questions are super basic, if you have net income and number of shares outstanding, what is your EPS. Anyone interested in banking that is serious will laugh at its rigor, it is quite simple
Can you guide me a bit about the structure and content? Feel pretty lost here!
Thanks!
Do you mind sharing what it asks (mostly fit, I guess?) and its difficulty? Thanks! I am about to do it this weekend.
I too would like to know the structure of this "job simulation". I can't tell if it's going to be a self recorded video, or a mathematical/analytical assessment, similar to the first step of the HSBC process.
You get a shortened pitchbook where you have to analyze it and do basic mathematics. Any finance major should have no trouble, I was told I did well on it with zero prep and as an accounting major. You also have to rank scenarios and how you would respond, like a more typical hirevue, such as what UBS and CS offer (if I recall correctly).
He is asking about the "job simulator" interview, not the online immersive test.
