Internship at the Chicago Board of Trade

Hello guys, I am new here and found this site doing a few searches

Anyways, I am a Junior at a non-target with a 3.9GPA and a triple major in Finance, Econ, and Accounting. This summer, I have an options trading internship with a "big" trader who has a seat on the exchange. One of my goals is to eventually work on Wall Street. I am planning on going to grad school to help rebrand myself with a target school in the North East or at Northwestern.

I am very excited for this summer to get a chance to work both on the floor, and on computers learning how to trade electronically. How favorable will this experience be? Will it be useful to help me brake in at all? I know this guy golfs with a lot of investment bankers he told me, so hopefully I can leverage this into something else in the future.

Dude. If it's all you got... work your ass off and make sure at the end of the summer the guy you're working with likes you enough to pass your name forward. All there is to it. Working on the floor could differentiate you from a bunch of people, especially with an independent guy, not too much left of that at CBOT. But you shouldn't be thinking about Wall St. or grad school right now. Good luck and feel free to PM

Why shouldn't i be thinking about Wall St or grad school right now? I have to take the GMAT this summer. Also I am really excited for this position! Really thank-full.

Triple major?

Yeah, I go to a trimester school. Think I am switching my accounting major to a minor as I don't want to go an extra term

Also your in Chicago right then? I know people at a prop firm and visit the office to see family it is pretty cool
