Market Volatility - About to explode ?

Stock market -

Current consumer confidence metrics are at all time highs right now. It's something we haven't seen in the market in a very long time.

Are we in a bubble?

Is it worth the carrying cost to buy VXX?

I had the best single-day performance today. Feel like a god.

But the humble side of me knows it could all be gone next week/month.

Stay safe fellow traders/asset managers.

Any thoughts on TVIX? Thought about buying yesterday without knowing the news was gonna break this morning. I'm a poor college kid anyways so I could only have bought 10 shares, needless to say I am not kicking myself too badly for not buying.

No worries, a lot of people (including myself) started as a "poor college kid". If you're consistently profitable you'll be able to build up your portfolio and hopefully attract family/friends/stranger money.

I don't give recommendations, simply because my criteria for buying/selling is too lengthy to explain. But I will say that I remain very bearish, even after today's volatility.

Which online brokerage are you using? If your trades are only a few hundred dollars, then a round-trip buy sell would cost you $15-20. In that case, maybe wait until you have more $ to trade.

That's exactly my issue. I use TDAmeritrade which charges me $7.50 per trade. I've kind of been waiting until i have $1000 at least to buy anything.

I've also been reaching out to anyone with any guidance regarding leveraged ETFs because I have zero experience with trading them.
