After three years of dating, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are ready to say “I do.”
“I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam,” Miley told People magazine.
Liam reportedly proposed to Miley on May 31 with 3.5-carat diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane.
Miley, 19, met Liam, 22, when they co-starred in The Last Song together in 2009.
The LOL star even took it to Twitter to express her excitement on the engagement.
“Life is beautiful,” she tweeted on June 6. “I love you more today than yesterday but I love you less today than I will tomorrow….”

Most marriages for people under 25 fail. In fact, the divorce rate is practically twice the national average. I hate to say it, but this likely won't last.
While I don't give a crap about Miley Cyrus or any celebrity marriage in any country for that matter, I really don't understand why so many Americans are getting married at such young ages. I didn't look into any stats for this (would be glad to be proven wrong), but teaching at a US university I'm seeing way more kids marry than I'm used to from Germany.
