Networking Advice for Sophomore

starting networking hard over the last few weeks to try and land some interviews for junior summers in fixed income s&t, but i'm wondering what the scope of my networking should be.

eg. is it better to network HARD (reach out to more than a handful of alums, build meaningful relationships, focus hard on individual firms) for 1-3 firms or should i spread myself across more firms (say 5-8) even though this means that i might not be able to build as meaningful relationships as i would if it was with fewer firms and more targeted/personal.

context: i'm a sophomore at hyp with 3.8 gpa + strong extracurricular/internships on resume
