News Trading Strategies

Hello everyone! Can someone give me more information about strategies used to trade intra-day news, except the pure directional long/short? I own a small proprietary trading and we trade stock news in a low latency algo way. What do you think about straddles?

He took the time to understand my background, past experiences, and the specific roles I am currently recruiting for, and then tailored his suggestions accordingly. Why are you asking this on an online forum?

However, I'll bite you can spread trade the stock vs a correlated asset. Also, buy or sell a straddle depending on a volatility view, delta hedging it. Nothing original in my answers.
