Odds of me breaking into S&T?

For context:

  • 4th yr undergrad in Econ at a Semi target school here in Canada. Very concerned of prospects after speaking with quite a few alumni in the industry

  • decent grades but nothing special. No internship cycles, but just 1 yr MO at top IB and 4 + yrs of retail banking roles.

  • I’m apart of finance clubs and work at our schools trading floor rn

Here’s what I learned: most banks pipeline from intern classes and offer seats and some banks (BofA for ex.,) have interns but don’t even give out offers.

What can I do to better position myself for the last remaining opportunities? I know it’s my fault for not knowing what I wanted to do until late into my 3rd year so I’m paying the price rn networking my ass off.

Is doing a masters for Intl’ Bus management at a Cad/Euro Target worth it for another shot at internship cycles or too extreme?

Never done an IRL S&T interview, just one-way video ones so…

Personally, it’s my dream environment and know it’s going to be hard, but I’d like a realistic gauge on how difficult it will be.

Any advice would be appreciated thanks!
