Peak 6 Trading Associate Superday

Hello. I have a superday for peak 6 in their chicago office this coming week. I was told there would be a trading case study. I would really appreciate it if anyone could shine some light on what this could possibly be and what I should be practicing before the superday. Thank you!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, trading case studies often test your ability to think critically, analyze data, and make decisions under pressure. While specifics for Peak 6 aren't explicitly detailed, here are some general tips and areas to focus on:

  1. Understand Market Dynamics: Be prepared to analyze scenarios involving market trends, pricing, and risk management. Brush up on concepts like supply and demand, arbitrage opportunities, and hedging strategies.

  2. Practice Mental Math and Quick Calculations: Trading roles often require fast decision-making. Practice mental math, probability, and quick calculations to stay sharp.

  3. Review Probability and Game Theory: Some trading case studies incorporate elements of game theory or probability to assess your strategic thinking.

  4. Be Ready to Defend Your Decisions: As seen in other case studies, interviewers may play devil's advocate. Be prepared to justify your reasoning and explain your thought process clearly.

  5. Stay Calm Under Pressure: Case studies are designed to simulate high-pressure trading environments. Practice staying composed and methodical in your approach.

  6. Brush Up on Technical Knowledge: Depending on the role, you might encounter questions about options, derivatives, or other financial instruments. Review the basics of these topics.

If you have access to WSO's Prop Trading Interview Course, it could be a valuable resource to prepare for this superday. Good luck!
