Prop trading firms - Recently graduated with bachelors degree
I just recently graduated with my bachelors degree in Economics in NYC and ive been looking to become a trader.
I did some trading in high school for a class project and did really well and thats all I see myself doing right now. Ive applied to about 20 firms since the 13th and im wondering how long it usually takes for some of these firms to respond.

Applying without networking at the fim = IMO 2.5-5% conversion into interview. Reach out to people.
i remember reading about (or hearing about, i forget) a guy that went to a gym where he knew bankers worked out and networked there. i think that's kinda creepy, and frankly i'd just get pissed off if someone interrupted my 45 minutes of free time a week to network, but if it worked for one guy, it can work for you... if you do it right... and can find 'trader gyms'. The downside is, if you openly ask people where traders work out from Citi or JPM or whatever, you're going to sound like a rapist. So there's a tradeoff
so basically, there isnt a good chance for one of those prop firms to reply back to me unless i try and network myself?

I would guess that big trading firms get hundreds of resumes dropped to their web address contact e-mail each week. Some of the smaller firms might get a dozen or two. Most of these firms have established recruiting processes so the chances of getting an interview by dropping a resume in an e-mail is highly unlikely unless the firm has some automated response set up.
Try to attend a career fair or other way to network as cold e-mailing is unlikely to land anything unless you have an incredible resume AND you are lucky that somebody happened to pay attention when reviewing your incredible resume.
Most of them want a mathematical mind. I'm from a non-target and have had a few interviews so far. Know probability and mental math or you'll embarrass yourself. If you can't do 37^2 and a bunch of probability problems in your head they don't want you.
I can think of at least one tactic that can get you through your situation. You must be willing to think outside of the box.
