Most oil majors have Rotational programs that I highly recommend you take a look at if interested in going that route - they offer great exposure across roles, responsibilities, and market perspectives - similar to those offered at large banks. If you have no experience in energy/commodities, the https://www.garp.org/#!/erp?utm_content=org_erpregister&utm_source=twit…</a">Energy Risk Professional (ERP) certification that I mention on the podcast is a great way to get up to speed quickly, focused on practical real-world knowledge (not how a book tells you energy markets work).

Thanks for the interesting podcast.

I am a university student and also believe in the well-roundedness you describe. Probably because it fits my personality. My ideal career path would be to start a career in trading and then pivot more towards management styled roles

You have succesfully done this, but do you think it's feasible in general? What's your experience like in a management position?
