Most oil majors have Rotational programs that I highly recommend you take a look at if interested in going that route - they offer great exposure across roles, responsibilities, and market perspectives - similar to those offered at large banks. I am a university student and also believe in the well-roundedness you describe. Probably because it fits my personality. My ideal career path would be to start a career in trading and then pivot more towards management styled roles
You have succesfully done this, but do you think it's feasible in general? What's your experience like in a management position?
Is it easy? No. Is it feasible? Yes. Your drive and initiative will not go unnoticed. I've been the youngest manager at the last 2 companies I've been at. Age doesn't matter as long as you bring something valuable to the table.
