Re-Recruiting With Return Offer

I was lucky enough to receive a return offer after working as a S&T SA. The feedback was very positive, but I matched with a product I'm not crazy about.  The desk I really liked already soft offered an intern so I decided to play it safe and put my preference as a desk that really liked me.  I feel very fortunate to have an offer and had an incredibly positive experience at this bank but the desk doesn't feel right.  In this job market, should I even try to re-recruit?  If so, how do I re-recruit without it getting back to the bank I have an offer at?  Can I target a specific product during the recruiting process?  Do I network with people on LinkedIn like I did for the SA spot or just email HR/submit job apps?  Thank you for the help!

You’re playing a dangerous game, my friend. You chose to “play it safe” and not shoot your shot for the product you preferred, so now you either have to bite the bullet or take on a greater risk of re-entering the job market.

Ultimately, life is about trade offs, and only you can decide which decision marginally outweighs the other. It’s a close call, but are you ready to accept the reality of uncertainty when you re-enter the job market? Are you confident of crushing another cycle of interviews where the stakes are much higher?

To quote Thomas Sowell: “in reality, there are no solutions - only trade offs”
