Sales & Trading Analyst 1 Compensation

Hello Everybody,

I'm joining an American Bank in the UK as an analyst 1 following my summer internship. Following the Brexit, many banks transferred their employees to Paris with some good compensations.

How much do you think should I expect in terms of full compensation in London as an analyst 1?

Does London have a future in the long run?

MS base is now 70k.

Are you sure about the bonus (US BB)? I thought it was less (waiting for my 1st bonus)...

Depends somewhat on the shop, but is fairly well-aligned across the street (i.e. less variance than M&A).

That said, S&T grads are not getting the same bumps their allegedly "overworked" advisory peers are receiving (may well trickle through eventually, may not).

A first year Analyst at a BB will likely get around £55k starting salary with a bonus of roughly £50k.

If you outperform, however, there's less of a "top bucket" limit than you find in M&A: a peer of mine when I first starter was on the STIRT desk (short-term interest rate trading) and received a bonus of £120k

Woah, seriously £50k?! I was under the impression that S&T Analyst 1 bonuses were around half of that.
