hey,
any ideas what a first year analyst makes in S and L, is it comparable to IBD or lower.

I hear savings and loans analysts arent doing so hot post 1980's
Lower analyst level but more variable and skewed at higher levels
i meant sales and trading sorry guys
haha i was just taking the piss.
First year analyst comp is generally lower for S&T than IBD, mainly because it takes a while before you start getting responsibility in S&T and cant really add any sort of value until several months in (depending on the desk). However there are stories of first year analyst comp for an S&Ter being upwards of 100k GBP so it depends on the individual.
for business school though does it matter is sales trading seen as less than ibd
