Susquehanna is respected for being pretty quant intensive - rigorous interviews, but it pays off
some of the smartest traders
only problem is that they also have a nickname of shadyhanna
yea good luck even getting an interview with Susquehanna i.e. if you have a Phd in math or physics. Top notch talent there tho. Once there you can pretty much retire by 35.
They invited me down for a weekend in philly but I couldn't make because of scheduling. Hopefully I can still snag an interview anyway though, we'll see.
What about QVT Financial, how do they stack up?
I've got an SIG interview by phone coming up.
IB analyst though, not trading.
SIG def have the prestiege of having very smart traders but I've heard their pay usually isn't up to par with other BB after a few years. If you make it into their trading program, they lock you in with a 3 year contract and I've heard your pay is probably only half of what you're worth on the street.
