S&T or QS

Hi Everyone!

Hoping to gather some feedback/advice, I'm a Junior trying to compare between two '26 summer offers and I'd like to hear what alternative views people mag have

Offer 1: Quantitative analyst/strategist at a multi asset team in large AM

Offer 2: Sales & Trading rotational internship at a BB

Off the bat, comp for 1) seems a little lower than 2) but offers better WLB and more intellectually stimulating work but the exposure and culture from the sell side also seems rather attractive

I eventually want to have a little more agency and not necessarily need to manage my own models 24/7, and probably aim towards being a PM in the future.

Both offers are quite attractive but offer rather distinct pathways and very frankly I can't confidently say I know what I want to do specifcially in the future but I would probably prefer the position that would give me the most flexibility/options.

What would you guys do?

Wider range of exits, better hours, WFH, better people, likely better comp throughout your career, etc. Large AM means pretty good stability if I had to guess as well.
