Starting a Career in Trading -> What are some educational resources to look into?
Hi all. Spent the past two years in internal consulting for a major bank in NYC since graduating in May 2019, and just received an offer to join the S&T division, where I'll be a part of a 2Y rotational program. I love the markets and am rather excited about the offer (have wanted to be FO for some time). I am a little concerned about the longterm viability of trading though, and have a high GMAT which I had planned to use to get an MBA at some point, though trading seems to fit less within that plan than my current route.
I am strongly considering taking the offer, and to that end was wondering if anyone had any insights into great books to read ahead of starting my first role. I'd ask that the books preferably be more recent and relevant. I'd be happy to read more technical books that explain nuances of certain products that users here feel are long-term viable or more general books that give a broad feel for what each product does, the pros and cons, etc.
Thanks!
