Sticking to cash equities?

Currently in ER (forget my status got a m&a lateral offer and changed it) but also have the chance of moving to equity sales desks.

While im aware that there are no real exits (don't plan on exiting the industry) the competition is close to zero and you can still make decent money (Maybe 30% less than m&a while working close ro a 9-5)

Whats the opinion of the guys here ror a long-term career in equity sales?

Hi Analyst 1 in IB-M&A, no, I never sleep and so I can respond to any lonely threads (like this one) at all hours of the night. Impressive, I know ;-)

More suggestions...

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.

I have heard people move to ER which you're already in. Some even move to buyside, but this rare.

For exits, I really think it really depends on the person in the role. You would have the network/relationships from the role to move, but I guess it's up to you to showcase your ability to sell/pitch/come up with actionable theses.
