Take a top tier Off Cycle, or Full-Time second tier

Pretty much as the title states, I’m graduating next year and only on track for 2 offers. One is for an Off Cycle at a top tier BB (MS/GS/JPM) whereas I am also in the pipeline for FT offer from a second tier BB (UBS/CS/DB).

I understand that we are going where there’s not much FT offers, but is it worth the risk to try and convert an OC? What is typically the conversion rate?

It might depend on which location and bank your OC offer is from… I heard GS doesn’t give returns to OC, and JPM doesn’t give direct returns (you have to do a Summer intern in addition, before being considered a return). I think if there’s little to no return chances for the OC, then just go for FT instead.

what does in the pipeline for mean?  do you have one or not?

once you get the ft offer from whichever bank, in this climate, take it.  "tiers" don't really exist in s&t; it's moreso dependent on the desk.
