The FX/Commodities/Equity/Options/ETC Traders thread

We don't care about target schools, GPA's, models and bottles or any of that bullshit. We're here to talk about trading, discuss setups, instruements, brokers, etc..anything regarding trading.

If you trade for a bank/hedgefund, do some charting in your underwear or you're a programming whiz whose trades algo/hft, come hang out!!

It appears the party has yet to begin. I'm a solo proprietary trader by day and a member of one of the learned professions by weekend. I am a electronic corporate member of the CMEGroup. I've been trading full time for over 10 yrs with the last 4 years full time. I trade currency futures,ES,ZN and GC.

Hi Traders, There is a lot to talk about beyond strategies, psychology, good books, interesting websites, why a trader may prefer to trade equities, options, futures, forex and of course the proverbial why trade? Trading entites, HF, CTA's HFT funds. But maybe this kind of discussion isn't really for WSO.
I came here seeking some communication with professional traders. In this era of algos, there is still opportunity and I enjoy the challenge. I've always been one to enjoy figuring things out and it took me a while to learn that the most important part of trading isn't the indicators but how I conduct my self in the market place. Whether trading discretionary methods or systematic methods there is still a human involved. The best book on that topic imho is Mark Douglass Trading in the Zone.
