Thoughts on risk management career n salaries?
I have an offer at a pretty good asian bank (non BB) for a risk management role in Asia as a new graduate and would be located on the trading floor. I was quoted around 54k base for a role in market risk. I just would like to hear:
1. Is that in line with what most MO risk graduates would get in Asia as I'm seeing different figures? I have other interviews lined up so I do want to think this through first.
2. And what are the possibilities of breaking into a front office role in sales n trading side from a MO role in the future, as would the role itself pidgeonhole one into a mainly risk role in banks?
