Trader makes £80m in 3 years & retires at 47

Article here.

Honestly came across this story a while ago, but it's been on my mind since. I know of the 'rockstar' archetype but hadn't seen a real example until now.

I'd love to genuinely understand the role of interpreting geopolitics within such success, because I imagine this figure of £80m was exacerbated through the violent energy prices as a result of various events since 2020.

It is also noted that he was actively against the CEO; I guess his success at the firm was leveraged to allow him to do that(?). Maybe an interesting indicator to learn more on how the office politics work, if anyone has any input.

Any thoughts welcome.

What are we exactly supposed to do with this information? There are absolute rockstars within almost every field who make insane sums, just do what interests you

You misread my post. It's not at all to do with wagering on what career path I'd like to follow, I was just looking to see if people could offer insight into the dynamics of how such phenomena occur
