TRADING IN BRAZIL

ARE THERE BANKS AND PROP DESKS ON BRAZILIAN BANKS THAT PAY VERY WELL. I HAVE HEARD OF A 20-SOMETHING GUY EARNING MILLIOPNS OF DOLLARS IN ONE TRADING YEAR. HE BOUGHT HIS OWN HELICOPTER RIGHT AFTERWARD.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST BONUS YOU HAVE HEARD OF IN BRAZIL MAYBE PACTUAL

Is this for real?

GOLDMAN911BTG PACTUAL IS FAMOUS FOR ITS BONUSES. A FRIEND OF MINE IS A TRADER THERE AND HE SAID ONE OF HIS COLLEAGUES WAS SAID TO HAVE EARNED A 9 MILLION DOLLAR BONUS IN 2008 SHORTING THE STOCKMARKET

9 Million bonus!!!!! dude, what trading desks are in Brazil? Any ideas? Why not move down there and count in some Mills right? Can anyone list some trading desks for me to look into please?

Do they have special metals, REE, Palladium, etc.. desks? There are supposed to be some metals mining starting down there (very little but profitable).

ITS MOSTLY AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES, EQUITIES , BONDS, DERIVATIVES AND CURRENCIES. NOTE THAT THERE IS NOT A HUGE AMOUNT OF SECURITISATION HERE SO YOU WONT FIND MBS , ABS, ETC

MY FRIEND IS ALSO A HIGH ROLLER THERE. DRIVES A BRAND NEW RANGE ROVER AND LIVES IN A HUGE SAO PAULO APARTMENT. REMEMBER THAT RANGE ROVERS COST OVER 200 GRAND HERE IN BRASIL

And Christiano Ronaldo makes 13m a year... maybe I should start playing soccer O.o

PACTUAL IS THE MOST FAMOUS BUT IM SURE SOME OTHER BANKS HAVE THEM AS WELL. PROP TRADERS IN BRAZIL DONT LIKE TO SHOW OFF AS MUCH AS THEY DO IN THE USA BECAUSE THEIR JOB IS NOT RESPECTED HERE. PEOPLE HERE ONLY LIKE SOCCER PLAYERS LIKE RONALDO AND SEXY INTERNATIONAL MODELS LIKE GISELE.

YOU PROBABLY WONT FIND A TRADER MONTHLY MAGZINE HERE.

Alright thats awesome!

Are all trading desks run in Portuguese or are the traders English speaking primarily? Cause that might be a problem.

ITS NOT IMPOSSIBLE BUT MIGHT BE QUITE DIFFICULT

MOST TRADERS ARE BRAZILIAN, BUT THEYDO KNOW ENGLISH AND MAYBE SPANISH ALONG WITH PORTUGUESE. MOST FIRMS HIRE FROM SOME FAMOUS BRAZILIAN UNIVERSITIES, BUT I HAVE SELDOM HEARD OF FOREIGN RECRUITMENT RIGHT OUT OF COLLEGE.

Believe me, Im from Latam, I know chubby Ronaldo XD.
