Would a support role like this be worth pursuing for someone that wants to be on the Funding Desk? I am currently in corporate finance (not Treasury). It seems too basic to be of much help, but thought I'd ask anyway.
Analyst supporting the trading desks in the optimization of collateral to triparty transactions.
Job responsibilities:
Providing daily cash projections to the <a href="/finance-dictionary/what-is-a-repo">repo</a> Funding desk
<a href="/company/monitor">Monitor</a> and process activity with a focus on intraday liquidity
Report daily funding activity to Treasury
Sounds like a job description for a junior on a repo desk... IMHO, has potential.
