Vitol Graduate Development Program
Has anybody heard much about the graduate program at Vitol? It looks new, like only 2 years old or so, but I've seen some postings on campus for it, as well as a few people on linkedin with the title "Graduate Development Program Analyst." Is there any chance of this role moving into a trading role at Vitol, or are they largely just looking for people to fill their trade support roles?
Yes, this program can lead to a trading role. It's supposed to be similar to the rotational programs at BP or Shell.
is a very good program! if you have the opportunity and do like commodities trading Vitol is one of the best place to be... beware is very selective too, but compensation wise it will pay a lot
Above poster is, under normal circumstances, incorrect. It will not lead to a trading role within Vitol itself as Vitol doesn't -usually- develop its traders, it brings them in. That said, the program has a decent reputation considering its age and the name brand recognition is strong to transition to a trading seat at another org.
