Which Chicago prop shops still hire non quants/algo?

What are some names of chicago prop shops that still hire non quant/algo and instead focus on finding driven and smart candidates? Top 50 school with a strong chicago network and wondering what shops to focus search on. Entrepreneurial background in a high risk/reward industry with a finance internship. Thank you

What do you mean by quant? A lot of prop firms (all except algo shops) hire non-quant traders that do market making and prop trading, primarily in stuff like options but all sorts of stuff. It's not quant, but you need to be decently good with numbers (nothing hyper-advanced you just need to be fast with it). You don't need a quant background to do it, but it definitely is somewhat quantitative. You need to be good with mental math but do not by any means need to be a quant. You might need to prove your quantitative skills if you are an English major, but if you are interesting in trading not algo/quant stuff, you absolutely can get a job at a prop firm doing that.

You should have no problem at any shop that isn't explicitly an algo HFT shop, just make sure that you are quick with numbers and study an applicable product. A lot of shops trade options, so studying that may be a good idea unless you have something specific in mind. Look on LinkedIn for prop firms, or look at wallstreet oasis's list of top firms to get an idea of what they do and get an idea of what you want to do. For studying options, chicago trading company has a great list: http://www.chicagotrading.com/pdf/CTC_ReadingList.pdf I might add dynamic hedging, but its a pretty solid list used by one of the top prop firms, and a non-algo one like what you were asking.
