BOCCONI MIM CEMS vc ESCP MIM

Ive been admitted to both Bococoni MIM CEMS and ESCP MIM, adn im not sure what to choose. They are both 2 years, but i feel like CEMS adds another level to the MIM, even tho im not sure if most recruiters actually value that on a CV.

My career goals are either consulting or entreprenseurship.

Does anyone have an insight on this?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know:

  1. Bocconi MiM CEMS:

    • Bocconi has a strong reputation, particularly in Italy and across Europe, with excellent placement opportunities in consulting and finance.
    • The CEMS program adds significant value, offering international exposure, a global network, and a prestigious brand that is recognized by top consulting firms. This could be a differentiator if you're targeting global consulting roles or want to build a strong international network.
    • For entrepreneurship, the CEMS network and exposure to diverse markets could also be beneficial, as it provides access to a wide range of resources and connections.
  2. ESCP MiM:

    • ESCP is highly regarded for its international focus and strong placement in consulting, especially in London and Paris.
    • The program's structure allows for studying in multiple campuses across Europe, which can be a unique selling point for recruiters valuing international experience.
    • While ESCP is strong in consulting, it may not have the same level of recognition or added value as the CEMS program for entrepreneurship.

Key Considerations:

  • Consulting: Both programs are strong, but Bocconi MiM CEMS might have an edge due to the CEMS network and its global recognition.
  • Entrepreneurship: Bocconi MiM CEMS could provide more value through its international exposure and connections, which are crucial for entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Location Preference: If you have a specific preference for working in Paris or London, ESCP might be slightly more advantageous due to its strong presence in these cities.

Recommendation:

If you're leaning towards consulting or want a globally recognized program with added international exposure, Bocconi MiM CEMS seems like the better choice. However, if you prioritize studying in multiple European cities and have a strong preference for ESCP's network in Paris or London, ESCP MiM could be a solid option.

For MiM i'd say ESCP over Bocconi. Their London campus is really useful for off cycles and its a lot more flexible.

You can finish any time your master in 4 years so literally stack up multiple internships.

Its just a more practical degree

Yeah at ESCP you can do more internships but unless you did prepa bocconi seems much stronger

At least in my network, the people that did ESCP mim vs bocconi cems, the latter had stronger outcomes. I had to decide between Bocconi MFin and ESCP mim and wil be attending Bocconi this fall.

Having had no internships at all so far makes escp more appealing. Still, you can just be non attending in the beginning of your second year at Bocconi and do two three month internships and maybe have one more planned for after.

It does depend on where you want to work, where you are from and what your profile is a bit as well tho. Do you have more info

Yeah the problem is i have no idea where i want to work, ive lives a bit all around the world so no real place that made a mark. Im frech tho so i can integrate the frech market easily, ad i speak italian so also the italian market. I already did ann exchange at Bocconi so i alrleady have that name on my CV

Bocconi is a stronger pick overall. CEMS is also recognised in consulting, and you'll be able to do 2-3 internships during your studies.

I don't know... Yeah. Almost definitely yes.
