Crossover vs. Traditional VC

Curious about the differences between working at a large crossover fund (Altimeter/Coatue/Greenoaks) versus a traditional venture firm (Sequoia/Accel/a16z). How much does pay differ? Hours? Culture? Do they recruit from different backgrounds/places? Is the day-to-day work different as well? Sorry for the question spam and thanks in advance to anyone who can help answer these questions!

For crossovers - better pay at junior levels (though risk of blowups after this year, so TBD on forward looking expectations), worse hours, culture depends on firm. Hiring is more likely to be from traditional finance (IB / PE background) whereas a normal VC prioritizes startup / operational / technical (e.g., CS major) experience
