From my experience, Short answer: No Long answer: Depends, especially if are you are trying to value a relatively late-staged private company in the market. But still it is never in-depth.
VC job is not really much about finance.
The only reason I compare them is to analyse competitors within the space. Checking their cost structure, their strategy plan, how they generate revenue and the terms of their contracts. Not so much modelling.
Alot of the companies you're going up against are mainly private companies and other start-ups so accounts aren't usually available.
