Growth equity interview question
I am looking to have a better understanding of the growth equity recruiting world.
- What technical question should I expect? (LBO?, accounting?, KPIs?)
-What kind of qualitative question should I expect? (What is a company we would like to invest in?, Pitch a stock?)
Thanks
I've had a few growth equity interviews and would say most are behavioral with a few basic technicals (three fin statements, what is ebidta, etc...). Don't be surprised if they ask you questions you would ask a founder if on a call with them because most analyst roles are primarily sourcing. Might also ask you to dive into an industry of your choice
stuff on unit econs and competitive landscape
Any modeling in interviews?
yes lol people use models in growth too, it's not the same degree of 'accuracy' as you would get in a mature company and more unit econs driven / top-line emphasis
What’s a good way to explain the practical applications of the “rule of 40”?
