From experience investing alongside GS these guys are significantly better than some of the other banks’ PE practices like MS. Some very high quality assets in Europe, and their DD skills are quite good. 
 

From what I understand TA/Summit are sourcing shops where you spend most of your time reaching out to founders, which may or may not be for you, however it’s a skill you need to build. 
 

Im talking about software growth equity, I don’t know about other sectors
