Hi! Did you ever get any info about GS growth?
Would be curious how people would stack up Insight Partners against these 3 - rumors of next fund targeting $16B.
Actually sounds like will end up closer to $18B. Would say Insight >> these guys overall, they pay better, better WLB, and more work diversity (anything from Series A to LBO). Performance has been unreal for 25 years, only one fund below 20% net IRR and that was the dotcom bubble one, which still was top quartile
GS Growth: Quick Intro Invests 20-250million in Consumer, Health, Enterprise and Fintech Companies.
the team is about 17 people. On Deals Teams consist of 3-4 people Usually an MD, VP, Associate, and Analysts or VP, Asc, and Analyst.
Invested in Aircall, Starling Bank Form3.
$8bn AUM
Invest in Series B- Onwards from what I can tell.
From experience investing alongside GS these guys are significantly better than some of the other banks’ PE practices like MS. Some very high quality assets in Europe, and their DD skills are quite good.
From what I understand TA/Summit are sourcing shops where you spend most of your time reaching out to founders, which may or may not be for you, however it’s a skill you need to build.
Im talking about software growth equity, I don’t know about other sectors

Didn’t some guy in another thread say in London you go home at 9pm?
