Stay in REPE Internship or Seed VC intern for less $

Currently at a REPE @ 13.50/hr and the offer at the VC is 10/hr.

REPE summary= 200-300mm with new funding round under way. Have been apart of deals from initial analysis to DD with 3 currently in DD.

VC summary= Seed Capital for mostly prerev, 10-20 mm fund size. Not nearly as much modeling.

End goal is IB or Consulting SA next summer. I go to a top 50 semi-target. I like the REPE but do not want to do real estate long term and have been here close to a year (11 months).

Would staying a the REPE better help my chances next summer or would it cause me to get pigeonholed into real estate focused groups? Which should I go with the REPE or VC?

It's just an internship don't worry about being pigeonholed. Do whichever you prefer. I don't think switching internships will look good though on the resume.

Personally I'd do the VC but that's cause I love VC..

What is the timeline for these internships? Full year during school? If so, definitely switch since real estate isn't what you want to do and you're being amusingly underpaid at both so money shouldn't matter.
