Thoughts on White Star Capital?

Has anyone heard much about their internship experience and what its like to work there and the overall reputation of the firm?

Career Resources
I know them but only because I was also an American VC who covered Europe. I like the idea of the strategy -- a ton of European companies want a U.S. investor who can "help" them expand in the region -- but don't think their execution has been great. The Tier One VCs who have been covering Europe for years (Insight, Accel, Index) still eat their lunch and win every good deal while White Star gets the scraps. More and more American VCs these days are getting religion about investing in Europe (i.e. they need a novel way to deploy larger funds) so I don't see that dynamic getting any better.
Also keep in mind the GP : rest of investment team ratio is 1:1. That's often a negative signal for learning / career opportunity, i.e. do you truly have a defined set of responsibilities and path upward, or are they just expecting you to do miscellaneous grunt work for a few years with no end game at the firm?
It's a reasonable enough spot for an internship or even an entry-level role, but I'd be hesitant about planning a career there for the reasons above.
What is that magic number of GP:InvTeam for you?
Isint a 1:1 GP to investment professional ratio good? Implies better mentorship than a ratio of 1:3?
Aliquam quaerat excepturi est ratione est a. Tempora et natus ipsam dolores aut.
