Venture fund scout programs

Curious if anyone has any details or is familiar with different scout programs that VCs offer? Would love to kick off a discussion on this one but some areas I was curious about are the following:

  • How does compensation work?
  • What does the role exactly entail? Is it primarily focused on sourcing?
  • How to break in?
  • Benefits or drawbacks relative to Growth Equity/ VC Analyst and Associate roles
  • How to break in?
  • Which funds have scout programs besides Sequoia?
  • Any anecdotal stories you might have regarding peers who are active within these programs

Thanks all!
