It is just angel investing with some money from a VC to supplement your own. What does the role exactly entail? Is it primarily focused on sourcing? It is exactly what angel investing is plus some communication with your one LP (the VC) How to break in? Be a succesful angel investor. Benefits or drawbacks relative to Growth Equity/ VC Analyst and Associate roles It would make no sense to compare them Asking how to be a scout is like asking how to be an entrepreneur in residence (EIR). It's not exactly a real job.
