PwC Capital Market/ Financial Advisory-Need suggestions

First initial post and hope it finds suggestions well:

So I am going to be interviewed by a capital markets director at a big four consulting, who has experiences in trading, operations, mortgage and consulting.

My background is math, econ, and corporate finance. Interned for a middle market lev fin team last summer.

What kind of technical questions should I expecting for the 2nd round of interview? I am not familiar with capital markets, so any leads for a previous capital markets post would also be greatly appreciate.

Thanks.

I interviewed for structured finance and have a similar background, although it was for an internship and your sounds like it may be full time. Of all my interviews at the superday, I got no technical questions. I got questions regarding analytical projects I previously have worked on, my stance on where finance was heading, etc., but aside from that it was entirely behavioral. Hope this helps.

thanks arguewithatree. My expectation is having technical questions cause I had internship before, but just wondering if the interview may asking what is Capital Markets. or some related questions fit into capital markets but I would have no ideaaaaaaa.... Just wondering, was it structured finance at Big4?

808My experience for capital markets as well as other service lines at Big 4 has been almost entirely behavioral questions and requests for specifics about previous experience. However, some people in Big 4 like to do their own thing in interviews, so you never know if a technical might come up. Just probably not.

Are you still with Big 4 firm?

PM me if you want specific info. I'm currently with Big 4, but not in capital markets.

I've worked at a boutique bank before and I am a quant finance major, but still not a single technical. I have this modeling project detailed pretty heavily on my resume, and I got a lot of questions about the project, but no technicals per se.

& yes. structured finance/financial instruments group at PwC NY. Had 4 interviews overall, no technicals.
